Hi neighbor,

Today is National Night Out, where law enforcement agencies across the country host community gatherings to promote safer, more caring neighborhoods.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department is hosting a free BBQ at City Hall tonight from 6–8pm. They’ll have bounce houses, face painting, music, a police drone demonstration, local first responders, and more.

We’ve gone several years and my kids have loved climbing onto police motorcycles, into the back of police cars, and into the driver seat of fire trucks.

The food usually consists of hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, potato salad, chips, and bottles of water. They’ve also had a shaved ice station for dessert in past years.
