We love frozen treats on hot days like today. (Not gonna lie: we also love frozen treats on cold days.)
The CoCo Swirl in downtown Pleasant Hill is our go-to but we occasionally mix it up. Here are some of our favorite spots.
Pleasant Hill’s best frozen treats
Sweet little frozen yogurt and boba tea shop, right downtown. There’s a great selection of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings, it’s self-serve, and you pay by the ounce, so you can get exactly what you want.
Cold Stone is another great downtown Pleasant Hill option, especially if you like toppings with your frozen treats. They also have ice cream cakes, milkshakes, and smoothies.
Taco Bell’s Freezes (aka slushies) are a great after school treat because they’re only $1 each between 2–5pm (and they’re only $4 other times of the day).
Chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla milkshakes made with real ice cream always hit the spot.
Smoothies and blended coffee never disappoint on a hot day — and Jamba Juice has both.
A yummy frozen yogurt option on Monument with a lot of fun options.
A little further
O’Brien’s has three nearby locations — including a drive-through in Martinez! Each carries over 50 flavors, so there’s sure to be something for everyone.
Everyone’s favorite local vegan coffee shop is now also serving dole whip cups and cones in multiple flavors, which can be customized with toppings. This is a great way to bribe your child to leave the park.
